Donations to Empower Academy pass through the African Equity Fund a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation. AEF supports Empower Academy by making infrastructure and other academic resource related improvements. These improvements will go towards improving the quality of education available to the students at Empower Academy without making the school unsustainable.

We encourage donors to give amounts equal to the semester or annual tuition rates of one or multiple students. The average semester tuition is 50$ and the average annual tuition is $100.

Goals

Through your generous donations, we hope to double the impact of the amount of money paid by students every year in tuition. Our total fund raising goal for 2011 is $45,000.

The impact of $45,000 would allow for the following improvements to the school:

• 1) Repainted classroom interiors, new desks, and better interior lighting.
• 2) A functional and well stocked library
• 3) An expanded computer lab
• 4) A science lab
• 5) Musical instruments and art supplies
• 6) A playground for the younger children
• 7) More and better teaching aids
